Getting Started

Q: What kind of facility are you!?
A: An awesome one that focuses on group fitness and personal training.

Q: I want to run on a treadmill and lift weights all by my lonesome, can I do that there?
A: No, we provide group fitness classes and personal training services. It is much more fun and effective to workout in an immersive setting!

Q: I have tried group fitness classes before. Why should I try JABS?
A: JABS is a welcoming environment that embraces every fitness level. Not only will you sweat, you will become inspired, motivated, and happier. Our amazing instructors will take you on a journey only found here. When you join JABS you are not just becoming a member, you are becoming a family member. You need to see it to believe it.

Q: What sets JABS apart from other fitness facilities?
A: JABS is a unique facility that provides a wide range of fitness classes under one roof. Since we only focus on group & personal training, you don’t have to walk through a typical gym environment to get to a class. This means no body judgement or creepy looks from that guy who looks like he hasn’t left the weight machine since 1980. Our facility is clean, welcoming, inspiring, and non-intimidating.

Q: If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound?
A: This is a very philosophical question regarding observation and knowledge of reality. Its similar to this question: If you go to the gym, but don’t post on social media, did you really workout?

Q: I have other questions before I start, what should I do?
A: Give us a call, or send us an email, and we will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have!

Q: Do I have to make reservations for all classes?
A: Yes, we require reservations for LifeRide (cycling class), and recommend reservations for all other classes.

Q: What kind of classes do you offer?
A: Awesome ones! Check out the CLASSES page to view the current schedule and class descriptions.

Q: I never took a group fitness class, will I like it?
A: Absolutely! While there are many ways to exercise, we feel that you are more motivated and inspired to get the most out of your workout in a group setting. You are guided by highly educated trainers that ensure the safety and effectiveness of your workout.

Q: Have I told you lately that I love you?
A: Awe, thanks! We love you too!

Q: I am running late, can I still get into class?
A: For safety reasons, and to avoid disruption of classes already in session, no one will be permitted into class beyond 5 minutes after the start of class.

Indoor Cycling: LifeRide®

Q: What is LifeRide®?
A: LifeRide is our signature indoor cycling class! 45 Minutes of motivational music and movement like no other!

A: Sure! How about some squats if you’re in front of a computer or sit-ups if you’re on your mobile device.

JABS Etiquette

1. Arrive Early (on time is late):  Give yourself ample to get set up, listen to instructor’s instruction / address any questions with the instructor, and be present for the warm-up.  No one will be permitted into class 5 min after class has started.

2. No Phone Zone: No phones will be permitted inside the fitness rooms.  They are distracting to fellow participants and the instructor.

3. Chit Chat: Please be mindful of others during class and refrain from conversation and/or keep conversations to a minimum.

4. There is no ‘I’ in JABS: There is no such thing as ‘my bike’, ‘my weights’, ‘my spot in the room’…please be flexible if someone else uses your regularly used area.

5. Cleanliness: A clean JABS is a happy JABS. Please carry in your workout shoes, wipe down equipment after use, notify staff of any spills/ messes, and use proper hygiene yourself.

Bottom Line: Simple common curtsey is key to a safe, effective, and positive experience at JABS!
